Rebecca Eskridge Crutchley was born on Tangier Island, moving to the mainland of the Eastern Shore of Virginia as a young girl. She has spent most of her life working in some of the finest restaurants on the Shore where she picked up a flair for creating unique and tasteful local culinary delights. Combining her heritage with her exquisite talent for cooking, in 2007, Rebecca, known by friends simply as Becca, opened her own business, Becca's Cakes and More in downtown Onancock.

In the beginning, the little business specialized in cakes and assorted desserts, with an occasional soup or sandwich on the menu for their regular customers. But it wasn't long before Becca realized she was going to have to expand to include a much larger menu, as well as more space to accommodate her faithful following.

And so in 2010, Becca moved her business out to Rt. 13, just south of Tasley. Here, amidst the quaint and peaceful setting of a small cottage, guests can now enjoy a full menu along with some of the most amazing sweets you can find anywhere on the Shore.

In 2009, Becca married her childhood sweetheart, Barry Crutchley. Barry, employed with Crutchley Enterprises, helps out any way that he can, and together, their talents provide you with charm, hospitality and a service that goes beyond cordial and encompasses all of the friendly welcoming attitude that the Shore is known for.
